Letter of intent on development of offshore wind power signed

The Polish Offshore Wind Energy Society, partner of the Polish Maritime Technology Forum, is one of the signatories of the letter of intent whose goal is to undertake joint actions to develop the offshore market in Poland.

“We are today on the threshold of a huge modernization project, comparable with the construction of the port of Gdynia in the interwar period, and the prospects are very promising. I am convinced that the offshore wind energy industry will be a new Polish specialty, that Polish ports will become a base for this type of investment in the entire Baltic region and that around 2025 we will launch the first offshore farms, built to a significant extent with the help of our installation fleet and based on components produced by domestic companies,” says Mariusz Witoński, CEO of the Polish Offshore Wind Energy Society.
