Polish economy less and less dependent on imports

The structure of the Polish economy is changing; we export more services and our economy is less dependent on imports. As a result, we have a surplus on the current account – PKO BP economist Marcin Czaplicki said in an interview with PAP.

NBP announced that in December 2019 the current account balance was positive and amounted up to PLN 4.2 billion, and its value was made up of positive balances of services (PLN 8.8 billion) and trade in goods (PLN 1.0 billion) and negative balance of primary income (PLN 5.4 billion) and secondary income (PLN 0.1 billion).
